I find it very interesting that so many people are protesting the so-called repeal of Obamacare, the supposed loss of women’s rights and Planned Parenthood, when nothing has yet been done to to any of these. If anyone bothers to listen to what is really going on with Obamacare, it did not stop when Trump signed the executive order. It just gave everyone a chance to decide what plan works for them. It will open up competition between insurance companies so your deductibles go down, your premiums go down.
At this time, no one is giving Trump any slack. The Democrats are leading everyone to believe that when he signed the executive order that life as they know it totally changed. If you are so concerned, then you should empower yourself to know the facts instead of listening to the Democratic bull. If you bother to listen, many things in the Obamacare bill are not going to change; Trump is just trying to make it so, as Obama put it, you can keep the plan you have or want.
I have listened to the protesters that health insurance is somehow a right, as an entitlement. What part of the Constitution says that everyone who lives here is entitled to health care? This is just a case of the Democrats allowing people who have less to live off people who have more. I am 59 years old, I have worked all of my life, paying into Social Security, and now the chances of me collecting on everything I paid in looks grim. Social Security has paid out so much money to people who have never worked in their lives that I may not have anything to live on when I get older.
Now that everyone has had Obamacare, they feel it is a right to have, even if you do not have to pay for it. Whatever happened to you work for a living, and take care of yourself and your family? You dealt with what life brought your way. Where is the pride in finding a way, no matter how hard, that you can make things work? Now it seems towns and people just live off what they can get off the government. Before people start bitching about what may happen, maybe they should wait till they have something to bitch about. Health care at this time hasn’t changed, women’s rights haven’t changed, immigration hasn’t changed, and nothing else has changed, yet. So if you really feel you have something to complain about, at least wait till you have something to complain about! It’s time to stop expecting the U.S. government to be your cash cow, to take care of you for the rest of your lives. Stand up and take responsibility for you and yours, and stop bitching about something that hasn’t happened yet.
It’s a wonderful world when everything is given to you. Just remember, it’s given at the cost of others. Nothing’s free; someone has to pay for it. But I guess if you’re not the one paying, you are entitled. Now I know why this is a Democratic state. Just take a look at how much we spend on those who cannot fend for themselves. It may be a good idea to have those who get what they need to live from the government to do community service, to relieve the burden on some of the government, whether being local or federal. I think if that was to get out, it would just give someone else something to bitch about. Those who get everything for nothing have everything to lose!
