Dear Town of West Tisbury, I just saw a new committee coming out of the town hall called the Old Courthouse Subcommittee, to look into reuse of this location.
Affordable housing has been pleading for this spot as far back as 2001. I respectfully request that the townspeople speak up for this spot to be allotted to affordable housing. 1. It is already owned by us. 2. It is off the main road yet on the bus line, perfect for affordable housing. 3. If given a spot to live in town, a lot of elders would move into it, opening up [potential] rental units 4. It would be ideal for senior living. 5. It is the right thing to do.
Please consider a note to the board of selectmen asking them to give it up!
