To the Editor:
I would like to compliment and thank the swimmers of the Martha’s Vineyard High School swim team. I would like to thank John, and all the coaches and all the parents. I was the captain of a national-championship high school swim team, and captain at a Division 1 school, and I know the courage it takes to stand all alone on those blocks and look at the pain ahead. You all (community inclusive) have started something important, and you have done fabulously. So pat yourselves on the back; you have created the wake for others to follow. Thank you to the MVRHS administration for welcoming Charter School children into the program, I hope for that trend to continue. And thank you to Lucy Thompson, co-captain 2017.
