To the Editor:

This letter was sent to the Martha’s Vineyard Commission.

We live in a world suffocating in plastic and its manufacturing emissions. Our land and oceans are choked with it. Fish, birds, mammals, and yes, humans are dying from the effects of plastic in our food chain, air, and water.

Why would anyone even consider plastering plastic grass on our playing fields? The idea of it flies against everything we are trying to do to protect our environment and and pass it on to future generations. Just say no to this outrageous idea.
