Nomad’s Oasis, a benefit for Island homeless, begins with a silent auction at 6:30 pm at the Martha’s Vineyard Film Center in Vineyard Haven on Thursday, March 23. The hosts of the event are the Martha’s Vineyard Clergy Association and Karam Belly Dance.
Middle Eastern dance and music begins at 7:30 pm, and the $20 admission benefits the Island’s homeless initiative, Houses of Grace. The sheltering program for the homeless is offered at three Island churches: St. Andrew’s Episcopal in Edgartown, St. Augustine’s in Vineyard Haven, and the Federated Church in Edgartown.
