At the Edgartown Bridge Club in Vineyard Haven on March 6, eight pairs competed. Finishing in first place were Nancy Cabot and Bea Phear. Tied for second place were Ency Fokos, playing with John O’Keefe, and Ken Judson, playing with Carol Whitmarsh. At the Feb. 27 game, two teams of four competed. Finishing in first place was the team of Barbara Silk, Bea Phear, Diana Dozier, and Gerry Averill.
At the March 7, 7 pm, game of Martha’s Vineyard Bridge Club in Vineyard Haven, eight pairs competed in a club championship. Finishing in first place were Carol Whitmarsh and Barbara Besse, followed by Dave Donald and Michel Riel in second, and Ken Judson and John O’Keefe in third. At the Feb. 28 game, six pairs competed. Bea Phear and Cecily Greenaway finished in first place, followed by Barbara Besse and Carol Whitmarsh in second. At the Feb. 21 game, five pairs competed. Finishing in a tie for first and second place were Barbara Besse, playing with Carol Whitmarsh, and Ency and Robert Fokos.
At the March 9, 7 pm, game of the Island Bridge Club, six pairs competed. Finishing in first place were Barbara Silk and Cecily Greenaway, followed by Barbara Besse and Carol Whitmarsh in second.
