The Vineyarders took over first place in the Eastern Athletic Conference with a marathon three-hour 3-2 victory over Bishop Feehan on Wednesday in Attleboro. MVRHS now stands at 9-1 overall, and 5-0 in league play.
Zach Danz topped Ben Simmons in first singles, 6-1, 6-0. Nainoa Cooperrider defeated Pat Fuller in second singles, 7-6 (5), 1-6, 7-5. Feehan’s Jeremiah Sullivan took the third singles match, 2-6, 7-5, 7-6 (3), over Chris Ferry.
Aksel Cooperrider and Owen Favreau bested Tim Miller and Luke Fuller in first doubles 7-6 (5), 6-3. Feehan’s Jack Leonard and Jack Lynch defeated Max Hammond and Spencer Pogue in second doubles, 4-6, 6-2, 6-4.
