Vineyard boys tennis claws M-Cats


Foul weather on Memorial Day forced the Vineyarders to play indoors at Airport Fitness and Tennis Club for their boys tennis match with the Maimonides School of Brookline.

MV acclimated to the new surroundings in style with a 5-0 win over the M-Cats, improving to 12-2.

Zak Danz topped Eitan Jeselsohn, 6-1, 6-1, at first singles, Nainoa Cooperrider defeated Jake Kosowsky by the same score at second singles, and Aksel Cooperrider downed Yona Diamond, 6-0, 6-0, in the third singles match.

The first doubles team of Owen Favreau and Spencer Pogue prevailed, 6-2, 6-2, over Adam Greene and Josh Schoenberg, while James Kelliher and Max Hammond defeated Benny Trachtenberg and Judah Kosowsky, 6-0, 7-5, at second doubles.
