An overturned boat trailer halted State Road traffic in West Tisbury Sunday afternoon. The accident occurred just before 4 pm between Buttonwood Farm Road and Old County Road, when a pickup truck lost the trailer it had in tow. West Tisbury Police Chief Daniel Rossi said a spare tire fell from the pickup and went under the wheels of the trailer, causing it to flip and detach. He said no injuries were reported. The scene was cleared shortly after 4 pm, and traffic flow resumed. In addition to West Tisbury Police, Tri-Town Ambulance and the West Tisbury Fire Department responded.
