Island Gymnastics sent five gymnasts to the Xcel Gold District Cup hosted by Gymstreet USA in Wilmington on Saturday, April 14.
Arianna Edelman, 10, of West Tisbury, ranked 24th with a 36.9 All-Around, and was fifth in her age group (Child B group).
Molly Crawford, 10, of Edgartown, ranked 55th with a 36.35, and third in her age group (Child A).
Sara Goodale, 11, of Vineyard Haven, ranked 120th, and sixth in the Child C age group.
Arianna, Molly and Sara qualified for the Gold level state meet in May.
Narrowly missing qualifying by 0.25 and tying for 223rd places with a score of 34.25, All-Around gymnasts were Emily Boyd, 10, of Chilmark, and Amy Maeda, 10, of Edgartown. They were 13th and 17th places respectively in their age groups (Child A and B).
The seven Bronze Island gymnasts will compete at States in May, which is both a team and an individual competition.
