Celebrate summertime in West Tisbury with food, free music, and fun. According to a press release, the West Tisbury library will present its annual “Tuesdays at Twilight” Concert Series, sponsored by the West Tisbury Library Foundation, featuring four family-friendly musical events at the Grange Hall in West Tisbury. At each event, chef Josh Aronie’s “Food Truck” will serve dinner on the Grange grounds from 6 to 8 pm, and the music begins at 7:30. All ages are welcome, and admission is free.

The “Tuesdays at Twilight” schedule includes:

July 17: Siren Mayhew

West Tisbury’s Siren Mayhew is an awardwinning vocalist, pianist, and composer who has been singing publicly since a young age. Join us for an evening featuring Siren’s original compositions and favorite covers.

July 24: Spotlight on Youth

Martha’s Vineyard offers opportunities for many forms of musical training and expression, and the community has produced many generations of promising young performers. This concert has become a summer tradition, and it’s a wonderful, entertaining evening the whole family can enjoy.

The performers range from fifth graders through high schoolers, and have been chosen by their music teachers as the most advanced, talented, and hardworking young singers and instrumentalists on the Island. In a word, these kids are amazing.

August 7: Jazz Quartet -— Eric Johnson, Jeremy Berlin, and Friends

Guitarist/upright bassist Eric Johnson and pianist Jeremy Berlin, two long-term mainstays in the Vineyard music scene, present an evening of originals, transcriptions, and mainstream jazz. They balance familiar, melodic repertoire with their interest in challenging vehicles for improvisation. Performances span a unique take on “The Tennessee Waltz” to an upbeat rendition of a Coltrane classic. They will be joined by two special guests.
