Virginia G. Maciel, 87, of Vineyard Haven, died on July 27, 2018, at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital, after a long illness.
Virginia was born in Oak Bluffs, the daughter of John G. Camacho and Constance Correia Camacho. Virginia was the youngest of their five children.
Her husband, Raymond R. Maciel Sr., predeceased Virginia. She is survived by her daughter Kathleen Giesta and fiancé Michael Souza, and Kathleen’s children Melissa Giesta, Mark Giesta, and Mathew Giesta; her son Raymond R. Maciel Jr. and wife Patricia Litchfield Maciel, and their children Ryan Maciel and wife Stacey Desouza Maciel, and Alicia T. Maciel, and many loving nieces and nephews and their families, who gave her many fond memories.

Visiting hours in the Chapman, Cole and Gleason Funeral Home, Edgartown Road, Oak Bluffs, will be held on Saturday, August 4, from 9 am to 10:30 am, followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated in St. Augustine’s Church, Franklin Street, Vineyard Haven, at 11 am.
