Master plan sets sights on housing needs

The town of Oak Bluffs has created a committee to update the town’s master plan. The town is now looking for input from local boards, groups, committees, and individuals, to help them, according to the town planning board.

The committee will be holding its next listening session on themes for the master plan on Monday, August 27, from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Oak Bluffs Fire Station upper-level meeting room. The topic of this session will be housing needs, including workforce housing, low-income housing, elderly housing, and seasonal employee housing. People interested in contributing can do so in person at the listening session or by submitting written comments prior to each meeting.

A briefing booklet on the master plan can be accessed on the town’s website at under the planning board department’s page.
