The West Tisbury library hosts a reception from 3:30 to 5 pm on Saturday, Nov. 3, to honor the artwork of Valentine Estabrook and Anne-Marie Eddy. The collaborative exhibit features Valentine’s paintings in acrylic applied by Japanese tissue paper rather than brushes. Her work is inspired by galaxies, stars, and black holes captured by the Hubble Space Telescope. Anne-Marie’s work includes epoxy-painted round canvases. The main purpose of Anne-Marie’s work is to create the auras of the heavens and the dreamy turquoise blues of the Caribbean.
The exhibit will be displayed in the library’s Community Room throughout the month of November. Both the exhibit and reception are free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
