Friends of MVY Radio officially announced a number of new staff appointments in a press release Wednesday. P.J. Finn assumed his new role as the station’s executive director on Aug. 1. Since then, he has taken over management of all operations. Finn has been part of MVY for 18 years, most recently serving as interim executive director. In 2005, he was promoted to afternoon DJ and program director, where he oversaw all aspects of WMVY’s on-air content, including the music, the staff, and all on-air initiatives.
As the new executive director, Finn will be working with a growing, active, and invested board of directors, with a an expanded staff, and with listeners worldwide to launch the station into the future.
Karen Altieri also joined the station as the new director of development in June, and has since been involved with many of the on-air fundraisers.
