On Thursday, Nov. 8, at 7 pm in the Tisbury Senior Center, 34 Pine Tree Road, the town of Tisbury will host a “listening session” to present and hear comments about the results of a recently completed municipal vulnerability preparedness (MVP) workshop.
The workshop was held Oct. 17 with the goal of identifying hazards facing Tisbury that may be exacerbated by climate change, and to prioritize actions the town can take to prepare. The workshop was attended by town officials, residents, and Horsley Witten Group, and was funded through a grant from the state’s Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs.
One result of the project is MVP certification, which allows communities to access additional state grants.
