To the Editor:
With the closing of October and Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we at Connect to End Violence, a program of Martha’s Vineyard Community Services, recognize the tireless dedication of the Island community in continuing to support our work. Specifically, we want to highlight the enormous effort put forth by those involved in LadyFest 2018.
Many thanks to Larkin Stallings, Kelly Feirtag, and Rose Guerin of the Ritz Café for all of their hard work and for hosting the event. The evening would not have been possible without the support of the Oak Bluffs board of selectmen, participating restaurants and businesses, volunteers, and the incredible musicians who donated their talents. Donations received from LadyFest will go toward helping survivors.
Martha’s Vineyard is not free from domestic violence, and we at Connect are especially grateful for a community that comes together to bring these issues to the forefront. Thank you.
