West Tisbury library collection site for recycling project

The West Tisbury library is now an official collection site for the League of Women Voters (LWV) recycling project. According to a press release, there is a colorful carton for your donations on your left as you enter the main library room. This recycling project not only keeps all the items below out of our landfills, but the used items are refurbished and resold at a substantial discount to Third World countries. The league makes a small amount on each item to support its work in our community. Just save the items and drop them off the next time you come to the library. For questions, call Judy Crawford at 508-693-1430.

Accepted items: inkjet cartridges, cell phones/pagers and accessories, GPS and radar detectors, smart watches, calculators, ebook readers, iPods/MP3 players, digital/video cameras, PDAs, iPads/tablets, video game consoles and handhelds, and video games and accessories.
