Jay Cashman, the Steamship Authority’s general contractor for the Woods Hole project, will start to drive pilings on Wednesday for one of the slips, according to a weekly construction update on the project from the SSA.
“Next week, Cashman is planning to continue work on the new bulkhead and the corresponding deadman wall,” the update, written by project manager Bill Cloutier, states. “They expect to start driving the first three monopiles on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2018, until the end of the week. They will also continue with the remaining dredging.”
Canopy work is moving along at a fair clip, with footings and support columns already installed and work on the roof and the “Sunbrella material” in progress.
