The Vineyard Haven library hosts a showing of director Chris Weitz’s historical thriller “Operation Finale,” based on the true story of how a group of Israeli secret agents arrested notorious SS officer Adolf Eichmann — the man who masterminded the Final Solution — in Argentina. The film plays at the library on Tuesday, Dec. 18, at 7 pm. The movie, rated PG-13, stars Oscar Isaac, Ben Kingsley, and Melanie Laurent. Rated PG-13.
The library hosts a Q and A session with Dukes County Commissioner-elect Keith Chatinover, Thursday, Dec. 20, from 6 to 7 pm. Chatinover will hold a public forum to answer questions, hear concerns, and receive public input on topics related to county government and services.
Another movie night offering takes place on Thursday, Dec. 27, at 7 pm with the screening of “Colette,” rated R. The film challenges gender norms when Collette is pushed by her husband to write novels under his name. Upon their success, she fights to make her talents known. Colette’s fight over creative ownership and gender roles drives her to overcome societal constraints, revolutionizing literature, fashion, and sexual expression.
