The West Tisbury library offers food and fun during the February school break, Feb. 25 to March 1. All activities are free and open to all. Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by a mature caregiver.
According to a press release, break weekend kicks off on Saturday, Feb. 23, from 10:30 to 11 am with Little Bird’s Laura Jordan leading a music class for kids. From 2:30 to 4:30 pm, stop in for the monthly Lego Club build adventures, where all ages are welcome.
Monday through Friday, Feb. 25 through March 1, drop by the children’s room for family crafts or the young adult room for teen and tween crafts; a different craft is offered each day from 10:30 am to 4 pm.
From 11:45 am to 12:45 pm, a soup and bread lunch will be served in the community room. From 1 to 3 pm, there will be a family-friendly movie screened in the community room and a teen movie playing in the young adult room; different films will be show each day.
On Saturday, March 2, from 11 am to 1 pm, Hugh Phear will facilitate a Chain Reaction Build Session, where kids are welcome to come try their hand at building an inspired device that performs a simple task in a creative and convoluted way. With limited time, materials, and space, participants will be challenged to innovate in this fun activity.
