Spend lunchtime at the Chilmark library and enjoy chowder and a chat on Saturday, March 9, at 12 pm.

For this edition of Chowder and a Chat, attendees will meet Beth Wike, coordinator of the Island Disability Coalition. The mission of the Island Disability Coalition (IDC), according to a press release from Chilmark library, is to bring together community members dedicated to promoting the full and equal participation of individuals with disabilities in all aspects of life. The coalition works to advocate and ensure that opportunities for self-determination, independence, empowerment, and inclusion exist in areas such as education, housing, employment, transportation, civic engagement, socialization, and healthcare.
