The Ryan Family Amusement Scholarship will be awarded to graduating high school seniors and current college students who have an interest in pursuing a career in the hospitality industry, according to a press release from the business. Ten scholarships, each in the amount of $1,000, will be awarded annually in the communities where Ryan’s operates. Applicants must be residents of Dukes County, Barnstable County, or the towns of Plymouth, Millis, or Raynham.
“One of the core tenets of Ryan’s since its formation in 1958 is to give back to the communities we do business in,” said Ryan’s president, Rob Nichols, in the release. “I can’t think of a better way to do that than by investing in the education and future of our local students.”
The scholarship program will be administered through the Cape Cod Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity. The release states that the foundation’s mission is to “build permanent charitable resources for community betterment through informed grantmaking and civic leadership.”
