Following the well-attended annual meeting held at the Ocean View in January, the Martha’s Vineyard Builders Association surpassed 100 members, and continues to attract more designers, engineers, planners, builders, tradesmen, insurers, suppliers, and bankers involved in the construction industry on the Island. According to a press release, the 5-year-old organization saw a 20 percent growth in the past two months alone, and aims to reach 200 members by year-end.
The association plans to schedule at least six events this year, providing continuing education credits and networking and marketing opportunities for sponsor members and organizational partners. The MVBA plans to launch a newsletter this year and, more important, to increase community engagement, particularly with youth development, housing and environmental issues, senior aid, and assistance with streamlining construction permitting and inspection.
The MVBA offers three levels of affiliation, including associate, full and sponsor memberships. For information about mission and membership, visit mvbuilders.org.
