U.S. Rep. Bill Keating, D-Bourne, who represents the 9th Congressional District including Martha’s Vineyard, will host a town hall meeting on the Island on Thursday, March 21, from 5:30 to 6:30 pm, at the Martha’s Vineyard Hebrew Center.

The Vineyard is a special place, and I always look forward to time spent there,” Keating said. “I am especially keen to speak with the residents of the Island, listen to their opinions and concerns, and discuss some of the new bills moving in Congress.”

Keating, who was re-elected in November, recently introduced a bill to protect right whales. Right whales are endangered, and in recent years several have been found washed up on Vineyard beaches.

Keating has represented the Island since 2011, when he was first elected to Congress. He replaced U.S. Rep. William Delahunt, who did not run for re-election.
