Tristan Scheller, a senior at MVRHS, and Kyle Rollins, a junior, competed in the USA Powerlifting National Championship in Alexandria, La., over the weekend.
Tristan, competing in the 163-pound weight class, finished seventh overall with a combined weight of 1,146 pounds, including personal bests in two of the three required lifts.
Kyle, competing in the 205-pound weight class, also finished seventh overall with a combined weight of 1,201 pounds, and also had personal bests in two of the three required lifts.
The powerlifting season is now over for the year, and Tristan will resume his position on the lacrosse team, and Kyle on the track and field team.
