The Martha’s Vineyard Figure Skating Club held its 31st annual Ice Show at the Martha’s Vineyard Ice Arena over the weekend, with shows Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon. Around 80 skaters took the ice to show off their skills to the tune of this year’s theme, “Once Upon a Dream: Children’s Stories on Ice,” which was co-directed by Jane Elizabeth Taylor and Beth Blankenship-O’Connor. The 2018 intermediate ladies national champion and international medalist Indi Cha, from Revere, was the guest skater. The Ice Show was the last skating club show for longtime skater and Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School senior Sally Caron, who has been skating for 14 years. She was recently named the club’s first double gold medalist. Caron will continue to skate in college, Taylor told The Times.
