Library assists disability committee

To the Editor:

Thank you to the Oak Bluffs Public Library for hosting the Dukes County Disability Committee monthly meetings over the past year. The library is completely accessible, and has an excellent assistive listening system that is easy to use for meetings and presentations. We encourage people to request use of the system so people with hearing difficulties can fully participate. The library staff are very helpful and will assist with the setup.

The next meeting of the Dukes County Disability Committee is on Wednesday, April 24, at 1:30 in the O.B. library meeting room. The meeting will be chaired by Dick Cohen, who recently took over from Mary Holmes as Dukes County associate commissioner for disabilities. Mary is also to be commended for her service. We will be making plans and goals for the coming year. All are welcome.
