To the Editor:
One of the Steamship Authority’s often-stated arguments is that it is not planning its new terminal and building in Woods Hole for an expansion of Vineyard operations. There will be a new fully operational third slip. The terminal is being expanded 70 feet into the water. There will be 17 car lanes. There will be new freight-truck staging space. There will be a monstrosity of a terminal building. More and larger ferries will be able to use the terminal. How can one ever take the Steamship Authority at its word when such stated arguments are so obviously absurd?
