The MVRHS girls and boys track and field teams traveled to Apponequet High School in Lakeville on Sunday for the Massachusetts State Track Coaches Association (MSTCA) Division 4 State Relays, and posted a number of top 10 finishes.

The boys placed ninth of 23 schools overall in 15 events. JoJo Bonneau, J.P. Alves, John Habekost, and Dash Christy ran to first place in the 4×100 shuttle hurdle with a time of 1:10.13. Peter Burke, Christy, Bonneau, and Owen Porterfield took fifth (3:45.53) in the 1600 sprint medley; Burke, Porterfield, Owen Atkins, and Borja Tolay placed seventh (8:57.04) in the 4×800; and Kieran Karabees, Vito Aiello, Tom Sykes, and Nick Pecararo were ninth (12:31.90) in the distance medley.

The boys added three more top 10s in the field events. The Vineyarders earned a pair of fourth-place finishes in the shot put (Nate Packer, Richie Barlett, and Kyle Rollins, with a combined 119 feet, nine inches) and javelin (Packer, Barlett, and Micah Vought, a combined 366 feet, two inches). JoJo Bonneau, Dash Christy, and J.P. Alves added a 10th place (a combined 107 feet, 0.75 inches) in the triple jump.

For the girls, the 4×800 relay team of Catherine Cherry, Amber Cuthbert, Yayla DeChiara, and Madia Bellebuono placed fifth with a time of 10:49.75. Cherry, Katie Freeman, Cuthbert, and DeChiara finished seventh (14:24.93) in the distance medley. Paige Pogue, Caroline Hurley, and Ashlei Clarke put the shot a combined 75 feet, 8.75 inches, to take eighth place.
