Collage workshop with Elizabeth Langer

On Wednesday, July 10, at 10:30 am at the West Tisbury library, artist Elizabeth Langer will lead a collage workshop for adults. According to a press release, all basic materials will be provided. Please bring collageable materials that are meaningful or interesting to you such as photographs, calendars, maps, fabric scraps, and wallpaper samples. Space is limited, and signup is required. This event is free and open to the public.

This workshop is in conjunction with Langer’s art exhibit, which will be displayed throughout July in the library’s community room.

Elizabeth Langer is a painter, collage artist, and printmaker living and working in New York City and West Tisbury. She studied painting at the Corcoran College of Art in Washington, D.C., with William Christenberry and at the Art Students League in New York with Mary Beth MacKenzie. Langer studied printmaking with master printer Krishna Reddy at the Robert Blackburn Printmakers’ Workshop, with Elaine Breiger at the School of Visual Arts, and Vijay Kumar at Manhattan Graphics Center in New York. She also studied drawing at the New York Studio School with Graham Nickson.
