Edgartown rolls out its Fourth of July parade

Thousands enjoy the annual summer kickoff.


Decked out in flags, bunting, streamers, and all kinds of red, white, and blue decor, Edgartown held its annual Fourth of July parade on Thursday.

Island selectmen, The Yard, Martha’s Vineyard Little League ,the Chappy Ferry, Cape Cod 5 Bank, vintage cars, Felix Neck Wildlife Sanctuary, and Island veterans were some of the many participants in the parade.

Hundreds of people — happy, smiling, and dressed in patriotic colors — lined the streets of downtown Edgartown.
