Gordon Lightfoot concert postponed for a year

Gordon Lightfoot has postponed his Vineyard concert, which was scheduled for Sunday.

The legend lives on, but he won’t be here this weekend.

“Innovation Arts & Entertainment, the producer of the MV Concert Series, has just been notified that Gordon Lightfoot has regretfully postponed his performance scheduled for July 28 at the Martha’s Vineyard Performing Arts Center in Oak Bluffs due to health reasons,” according to a press release. “The new date has been announced as July 18th, 2020.”

Following doctor’s orders, Gordon Lightfoot has also cancelled concerts in Gettysburg, PA; Bethel, NY; and Annapolis, MD, and several other cities originally scheduled for this week and the week upcoming, the release states.

“The staff of the MV Concert Series wishes Mr. Lightfoot a full recovery and looks forward to hosting him on Island next summer at the Martha’s Vineyard Performing Arts Center on July 18th, 2020 at 8 pm.”
