After getting married on August 22, 1959, Paula and Whitey Johnson settled in West Granby, Conn., to raise their three sons, but developed a love for Martha’s Vineyard early on. They bought their vacation home in Edgartown Estates in 1990. Paula says the summer beach days on State Beach and fresh food from Morning Glory help pull her through the cold Connecticut winters. Whitey comes to the Island to recharge his batteries. They both enjoy sharing their home with grandchildren, family, and their Aussies. They’ve had a 60-year honeymoon.
