Misty Meadows Equine Learning Center will hold a small dedication ceremony after its annual open house at noon on Friday, Nov. 29, to celebrate the life of Jerry Kenney and to honor the original gift of Misty Meadows. According to a press release, while Jerry Kenney was probably best known for his accomplishments in business, he was also revered as a mentor who could inspire and instill confidence through his coaching of colleagues, students, family, and friends. With a personal passion for architectural design, Kenney built Misty Meadows into the facility it is now.
Following their belief in the power of horses to teach and empower people, Jerry and Carol Kenney gifted this property to Misty Meadows Equine Learning Center in 2016, in memory of Betty and Charles Brock, who sustained Misty Meadows through its early years. The dedication ceremony will include the unveiling of a new plaque which honors this gift.
Since this initial gift, Misty Meadows has continued to grow, the release states, providing innovative learning experiences that “inspire personal growth and transformation for people of all ages and abilities.”
