Honeybees and you

Learn about the importance of honeybees and how threats to their existence are affecting the fruits, vegetables, and nuts that we eat. Through a special collaboration, the Chilmark library and Island Grown Initiative are showing “The Pollinators,” an awardwinning documentary. This film chronicles the journey of migratory beekeepers across the U.S., and along the way it shares insights from farmers, chefs, scientists, academics, and economists on what bees mean to our food security and how we can make improvements. Email tthorpe@clamsnet.org for a link to view the film at any time from July 20 to 24.
