To the Editor:
I am appalled at the audacity of the select board to have not taken the new design of Circuit Avenue to a vote! It affects every year-round resident and every summer guest. Having parallel parking on Circuit Avenue will back traffic up New York Ave. to the gas station.
The many seniors who live here may have trouble parking in parallel spots, not to mention the loss of 12 parking spots, and on top of that there are no plans yet for a park and ride. I live in town, as do many of us, and we all park on the street, and would love to park all summer long in a park and ride, and walk or ride my bike home. AND the highway department keeps taking spots away from us. Where are we taxpayers supposed to park? It may be a very pretty plan, but I, for one, will not vote for this current board again, due to their total lack of foresight and lack of equity in their decisionmaking.
