On June 29, a Dukes County grand jury indicted Jonathan Watson on one count of indecent assault and battery on a child. The charges stem from an incident alleged to have occurred “on or about” July 17, 2020. Edgartown Police Chief Bruce McNamee declined to disclose any details of the case, except to say the crime is alleged to have occurred in Edgartown and the defendant was last known to be from Ware. Police reports and court records are generally sealed in sexual assault and rape cases.
