Caesar pleaser

Chicken Caesar pasta gives us a new take on pasta night.

My favorite bites of pasta dinners are always the last couple, when the side salad meets the noodles. The pasta is no longer piping hot and the salad is no longer cold. The pasta and the salad blend together with a slight crunch and the sauces mix.

It’s been so long, I don’t remember how or why I decided to create my own chicken Caesar pasta but I did, and it’s phenomenal. Essentially it is angel hair pasta with a Caesar salad plopped right on top.

To start, chop up the chicken into cubes and sauté it in Italian dressing.

While doing this, get the water boiling for the pasta.

When the pasta is cooked and drained, add a little oil or butter so it doesn’t clump.

Then toss up the Caesar salad kit (simple directions listed on the bag) in a mixing bowl and add the cooked chicken.

If you have the ambition to make your own Caesar salad I am sure that would be tastier, but I didn’t feel motivated enough to track down all the ingredients needed in the grocery store.

To make your plate, put down the angel hair first, add some extra dressing on the noodles, and top with a few spoonfuls of salad.

The dish doesn’t end here, this particular time (pictured), I added goat cheese and balsamic reduction because I had them on hand. Tomatoes, red onion, and shredded Parmesan cheese are also great additions. Always, extra garlic and cracked pepper are a must.
