We have met weekly for the past month to plan for the modified reopening of the Oak Bluffs Council on Aging. After great thought and discussion, and contact with the State and the Board of Health, we are planning a tentative rollout for August 2, 2021. Our public hours will be 8:30 am – 12 pm.
The meeting room, and only the meeting room, during this Phase One period will be open for a maximum occupancy of 14 people at any given time. Participants will be asked to email Rose in order to participate by Friday of the prior week.
Upon arrival, participants will be requested to sign in at the front table, including their address and phone number for contact tracing. As per order of the Board of Health, masks are to be worn while in the building. This is an evolving process, which will take place in Phases, with the goal of opening the Center to full capacity.
Please look online at the Town of Oak Bluffs website under Council on Aging, oakbluffsma.gov/152/Council-on-Aging, for additional information. Please call Rose Cogliano at 508-693-4509, ext. 3, with any questions. This process will be ongoing and evolving.
Exercise classes via Zoom will continue. To participate in-person, please sign up by calling Rose or emailing her at rcogliano@oakbluffsma.gov. Masks, hand washing, and sign-in required.
