To the Editor:
In response to your story on the front page of last week’s Times about our fragile Island, I wonder why there aren’t recycling bins all over the Island. Those of us who live here are careful about what we throw away, recycle, and return. Plastic bags are no longer used by grocery stores, but I’ve gone to the Oak Bluffs Post Office many times, and the trash barrels in front are overflowing with plastic bottles, etc. Can it be so hard to put out recycling bins? It would help save our Island from so much plastic going into landfills.
