The Felix Neck Wildlife Sanctuary will hold a free event on Sunday, Oct. 12, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Fern and Feather Day Camp. The family-friendly event from 11 am to 3 pm includes story sharing, food, music, games, and nature activities. Former director Gus Ben David will give a live animal presentation at 11 am. A silent auction with items from local artists will benefit the Fern and Feather Scholarship Fund. Music will be performed by The Flying Elbows and The Chandler Blues Band with Gordon Healy. With pre-registration and for a fee, guests can participate in an “Edible Wild Vineyard” walk-and-talk with forager and wild foods expert Ross Cohen. Food by Little Rock Farm will be available for purchase throughout the day, and guests are welcome to explore the 350-acre sanctuary during the event.
