Suzanne Sprayregen of Vineyard Haven and Stephanie Dreyer of West Tisbury were among the 204 riders that competed in the Norfolk Hunt Fall Hunter Pace in Westport on September 21. Suzanne, riding Like Mike, owned by Amy Wales, and Stephanie, on Teddy Ruxpin, traversed a 12-mile course that included stunning countryside complete with water views. They brought home the blue ribbons by achieving the closest time to the optimum pace in the fences and flat divisions.
Those interested in learning more about Hunter Paces or volunteering will have an opportunity to learn more when the Martha’s Vineyard Horse Council hosts its 5th annual ride in the Manuel Correllus State Forest on Sunday, October 19.
