Update Nov. 2

Two cars were involved in a head-on collision on Edgartown-Vineyard Haven Road, near Dodger’s Hole, at approximately 6 pm on Wednesday.

Oak Bluffs Police Sgt. Michael Marchand said a vehicle driven by Edwin Seabury of Teaticket, crossed over the center dividing line and hit a car driven by Nuismar Dasilva, of Oak Bluffs.

Alcohol was not a factor, Sgt. Marchand said.

Mr. Seabury was treated at Martha’s Vineyard Hospital and later released. He was cited with a marked lanes violation.

Mr. Dasilva was cited for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Traffic was being rerouted onto Barnes Road from Vineyard Haven and there were significant delays in the area.
