The Dukes County Commissioners voted to reappoint Don Ogilvie and Kristin Zern to the Martha’s Vineyard Airport Commission Wednesday night, with tabletop ballots tallied on the spot by Dukes County manger Martina Thornton. Zern first tied with Robert Fuller, with three votes apiece. Thornton ordered a new vote to break the tie, whereupon Zern won the appointment.

The commissioners also reappointed Chuck Cotnoir as county emergency manager. With commissioner Tristan Israel declining reappointment, the commission appointed newcomer Thain Leonard-Peck as county representative to the Cape and Vineyard Electric Cooperative.

Ogilvie and Zern, who were not present at the meeting, were appointed to three-year terms. Cotnoir was appointed for a year. Leonard-Peck was appointed for a two-year term.
