Martha's Vineyard adult, co-ed league begins play
The Vineyard Football Association (VFA) Adult Co-ed Summer Soccer League will begin an eight-week schedule of games on Tuesday, June 28. Games will be played at 5:30 and 6:45 pm, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at Tisbury's Veterans War Memorial Park.
Evenly balanced teams will be created by player drafts. Managers representing the club sponsors: Atlantic Football Club (AFC), Coop de Ville, Monto Orthopedics, MV Celtics, Shirley's Hardware, and Sports Haven, will do the drafting.
Player registration is now open to experienced and fit soccer players of 18 years or more.
Instructions and registration forms are found at www.vineyardfa.com and at Sports Haven, Monday to Friday, 10 am to 5 pm.
A player registration form, a recent photo and the registration fee of $80 are due by noon, Thursday, June 23 at Sports Haven, 6 Beach Street, Vineyard Haven.
