VFA soccer season begins

The Vineyard Football Association kicked off the 2011 summer season with a pair of matches Monday, at Veterans Park in Vineyard Haven.
Shirley's Hardware drew 1-1 with Atlantic Football Club (AFC) in the first match, while Coop deVille and MV Celtic followed suit in the nightcap.
Sports Haven played Monto Orthopedics in the first match yesterday evening. MV Celtic met AFC in the second contest.
Tonight, Shirley's plays Monto at 5:30, followed by Coop deVille vs. Sports Haven at 6:45.
