Music festival standouts
Eight musicians performed at the All Cape and Island Music Festival this past weekend at Barnstable High School.
Orchestra members included Sarah Ortlip-Sommers (concert mistress), Olivia deGeofroy, Michaela Rivard, and senior Anna Yukevich. Four singers also performed: Megan Mendenhall and Sophia Nelson in the 35-voice girls' choir, and Claudia Taylor and Aaron Teves in the mixed chorus.
Chosen from auditions in November, they rehearsed Thursday and Friday and performed for a packed house on Saturday for family, friends, community members, and Cape and Island music educators.
