Tisbury selectmen agreed Tuesday to change the date of the next town election from April 23 to Tuesday, April 30, to coincide with the Massachusetts special primary election to fill the senate seat vacated by John Kerry, who has become Secretary of State. Town clerk Marion Mudge said that the voters will have to be notified by mail of the change.

Selectman also voted to move the town polling place from the American Legion Hall to the new emergency services building on the opposite side of the Tisbury School yard.

There was no public comment during a short public hearing on the Black Dog Tavern's application for a harbor use permit for a 27-seat garden patio with a wooden roof addition. Selectmen unanimously approved the plan, conditional on approval by the building inspector.

Also Tuesday, Patricia Carlet of the Tashmoo Spring Building Area Committee presented a revised fee schedule for use of the building that she said is intended to be less expensive and less confusing. Selectmen approved the schedule and a committee request to join the Chamber of Commerce, to help publicize the building's availability for public functions.
