If I was the excitable, dance in the aisles, hang from the chandelier, and sing at the top of my lungs type, I’d be doing that tonight. But let’s face it, those who know me know that’s not really my style. I’m a wee bit more subdued. But the weather today, the incredible warm sunny skies and gorgeous beach day that dawned on the Island this morning, certainly had me dancing and singing on the inside. I will admit to frequent outbursts of how amazing the day was, how grateful I am for this gift, and being quite certain that I heard my personal angels singing. This was a true glorious gift in late September that I will bottle up tight in my memory banks to help see me through the inevitable snow shoveling of February.

Gigantic congratulations go out this week to Zach Townes and Sara Leandro, who got married on Saturday, Sept. 23, despite gray skies and some damp breezes courtesy of Tropical Storm Jose. It was almost a close call there, as Zach was stuck off-Island midweek because of the storm, with no guarantees when boats would start running again. Small blessings and some changes of course made for a very happy ending! Here’s to a long and happy life together, with many more adventures and happy endings.
Happy birthday wishes go out to Steve Rose and Heather Majkowski, who celebrated on Sept. 24, my lovely and charming niece Evie Gardner Fleisher, on Sept. 27, Lucy Ulyatt and Todd Hollister on Sept. 28, and Samantha Hargy on Sept. 29. I hope your days are full of magic.

That’s about it for this week. So glad we missed the worst of Jose last week. I hope we have similar luck with Maria as she heads up the coast. Batten down the hatches again, just in case. Have a happy and healthy week ahead.
